DECCO: "Investing in the Future"

DECCO, Inc's federally-registered apprentice programs for both pipefitting and plumbing are essential in helping us create construction careers for hard-working and dedicated, local talent. All of our pipefitter and plumbing apprentices are required to participate annually in 150 hours of related technical training for the duration of the apprenticeship—this is done in the evenings in one of two locations: here in Brookline, NH, or at our satellite location in Westborough, MA. We are proud to pay 100% of the programs cost for related technical training as the commitment our apprentices exhibit is humbling.

Over the past 15 years, more than 100 partners have participated in our Apprentice Programs, and we can boast that 100% of the partners who have successfully completed the program requirements have become licensed in their trade. Additionally, DECCO is most proud of the national success so many of our apprentices have achieved in the ABC Annual Craft Olympics, where more than ten DECCO apprentices have competed and received medals against the country's best and brightest competition.

For the class year beginning in September 2013, we are happy to welcome a new crop of apprentices into Pipefitting I and Plumbing I programs. We're excited about the current crop of graduates and for those that are advancing onto the next level.

We are pleased to announce our newest Partner, Debbie Lielasus, who is joining us in a newly created role as "Preconstruction Coordinator." Debbie's office is located in the Estimating department.

Please join us in welcoming Debbie to the team.

Scholarship Assistance Program Recipient
Scholarship Assistance Program

DECCO is pleased to announce the recipient of this year's Scholarship Assistance Program. Congratulations to our DECCO Partner, Denis Turgeon, whose stepdaughter Danielle has been awarded the 2013 scholarship. Danielle is a Junior at the University of Rhode Island and is pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering. She is a member of the schools competitive cheerleading team and manages the campus coffee shop. She recently became a brother of the schools' professional engineering fraternity, Theta Tau Sigma Gamma. We extend our best wishes to Danielle.

The scholarship program was established and designed to provide DECCO Partners and their family members with assistance in pursuing both higher education and career training programs. DECCO remains strongly dedicated to the program and the benefit it provides to many well deserving partners. Since its inception the program has provided over $100K in scholarship assistance to our employees.

ISPE's Annual Golf Outing
ISPE Golf Outing

DECCO was proud to support ISPE at their annual golf outing at Indian Pond Golf Club in Kingston, MA. DECCO's Meaghan McCarthy (pictured) oversaw the 5th hole and the hole-in-one competition that unfortunately didn't produce any aces this year. As a longtime active member of ISPE we recognize the key role they play in the pharmaceutical industry and we hope everyone enjoyed the day of fun and relaxation on the golf course.
